Sabarimala, the abode of
the young and Ascetic God, Dharma Sastha or Taraka Brahma has
been at all times the magnet which draws millions and millions of devotees
of all castes, creeds and faiths to it. Pilgrimage to Sabarimala, notwithstanding
the rigorous austerities to be observed and perilous route to be trodden,
is considered by the believers as a significant event that makes their
sojourn on earth worthy and meaningful. It is symbolic of the struggle
of the individual soul in its onward journey to the abode of bliss and
beatitude. Taraka Brahma is one who helps mankind to cross the
ocean of Samsara (worldliness). "Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa!" |
